About Us

Our mission and our values demonstrate who we are and flow from what we believe.

Our Mission

We exist to worship God, walk with Christ, and witness to the world.

1

Loving God

Loving God is the greatest thing a person can do. Everything we do as a church and as Christians flows out of this conviction. And the best way to love God is to believe in, trust, and follow his son, Jesus Christ.

Growing together

God’s grace to us in Jesus allows us to love one another, and with the help of the Holy Spirit we try to live and grow in ways that please God and present a compelling picture of God’s love for us.

Sharing Christ

We want to share with others how the gospel is changing our lives. We want to see everyone enjoy freedom from sin through faith in Jesus Christ and then be involved in the great mission of proclaiming the gospel, beginning in Marlton, NJ and going to the ends of the earth.

Here's What We Value as a Church

The core values of any organization reflects who it is and what it believes. At Sovereign Grace Church of Marlton, we have six core values that are hallmarks of our church and guide our culture how to believe and live out the good news of the gospel.

Biblical

We believe the Bible is God’s true and reliable Word. Every week we try to help members and visitors understand clearly what it teaches, especially about how to believe and then live out the gospel–the good news–of Jesus Christ.

Relationships

We were not created to be alone. God has designed the Christian life to be lived in community with others, even as he desires relationship with his people. Church must be much more than a gathering of individuals on Sunday mornings, so we try in many ways to connect people with others for mutual encouragement and spiritual growth.

Mission

The good news of the gospel is to be shared with others. We begin that task in Marlton and partner with others to see churches planted and the good news shared to the farthest nations.

Generosity

God, in Christ, has given us so much more than we deserve. We want people to understand and experience the joy of giving as well as the grace of receiving from the Lord and others.

Service

Our church has a long history of normal people serving God and others in heroic ways. We try to recognize and celebrate those among us who serve well and try to help coming generations embrace service as a value.

Love

God’s Word teaches us that spiritual gifts, natural ability, and even self-sacrifice don’t mean anything if love isn’t at the bottom of it all. We only love well when we are affected by the truth that God first loved us. We are also called to love our enemies and those who are not as easy for us to love in our own strength, and this makes us depend on God.

Partnerships

We enjoy a rich relationship with organizations in the Marlton area and the broader United States. Our partnerships help us to care for our members and advance the gospel.
