Warren Boettcher

Where are you from?  I grew up in Havertown, PA (a suburb of Philly)

Where did you go to school?  I went to Delaware County Christian School for 11 years of my schooling. I graduated in 1977. I went to the University of Delaware for college and Villanova for post-grad studies.

What is your history in pastoral ministry?  I felt a call to pastoral ministry in the late 1980’s and joined the pastoral team at Covenant Fellowship in 1990. I served as a Family Life Pastor and Singles Pastor at CFC. I then sensed a call to plant a church that was confirmed by the elders and we planted “Community Life Church” in January, 1993.

What are your ministry responsibilities at SGC?  I provide general leadership for the church, lead in preaching, oversee Community Groups, oversee the church finances, do discipleship, and do counseling.

Introduce your family.  I’ve been married to my wife, Kim, for almost 42 years (married in 1979). We have 5 children: Julie, Jeff, Amy, Andy, and Stephen; 4 of which are married to wonderful spouses: Jake, Angie, Andrew, and Brittany, and we have 12 grandchildren who absolutely light up our lives and delight our hearts.

What’s your favorite sports team
?  Philadelphia 76ers.

What are your favorite books (or genre)?  Lord of the Rings. Reading Spurgeon.

What hobbies do you have?  Hiking and taking walks with Kim. Reading.

How do you like to relax?  Anyway I can with Kim. Being with family. Sunday naps are a gift from God 😊.
